8-9-10 Girls go 1-1 on first day of state tournament

The Medford 8-9-10 girls won their first game 5-1.  Taya Pettersen struck out 10 and only allowed 2 hits in six innings. Harlow Grant led the hitting going 2 for 2.  The girls had a total of 11 stolen bases.

In the second game of the day, Medford fell to Banks Little League 10-5.  The girls mounted a rally in the 4th inning but couldn't overcome the seven run deficit.  The girls play Sunday at noon against Bend South Little League.
