The Intermediate 50/70 Baseball division is an advanced level division for players, ages 11-13. 50/70 Baseball offers a transition for players between the standard Little League field size (46-foot pitching distance and 60-foot base paths) and the Junior/Senior division field size (60-foot, 6-inch pitching distance and 90-foot base paths). Girls desiring to play baseball instead of softball are permitted to do so.

Regular season players in the 50/70 Baseball division have the opportunity to dual roster, meaning they can play in the Major Baseball division during the same season. Achieving tournament eligibility is possible in either division, but a player must choose one division of play to participate in during the tournament season.

Many of the Junior division rules are used such as runners being permitted to lead off bases, runners may attempt to steal at any time, and allowing an on-deck batter.

Players at this level will participate in Tryouts (late-February), and will be drafted to a team by Team Managers (early-March). Parents that have questions about their player dual rostering in the Major and 50/70 divisions should contact the MALL board to discuss before registering.

50/70 Baseball players use bats and baseballs designated specifically for use in this division. The roster size for a 50/70 team averages 10-12 players depending on parent involvement in coaching, with a season featuring 1-2 practices per week and 1-2 games per week played on weeknights and/or Saturdays. The diamond used is a 90-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 60-foot, 6-inches.

Parents are strongly encouraged to become involved in this level of Little League. After completing a Little League volunteer application and passing a required national background check, parents may become involved in practices, and be eligible as coaches, managers, umpires, board members and other volunteer positions within the league.
